A small tabby sat on the corner, her long fur fluffed up against the cool night's wind. Her pale green eyes were scanning the area for other animals who might disrupt her night.
Her name was Mint, though she truly loathed it. She was a former housecat, turned Darkness deputy. She had lived with her mother's human as a kitten, but soon got tired of being coddled, turning herself into the deceptive cat she was now.
Mint hadn't spoken in her family in a while. Her father, she would sometimes confide in. But her sisters and brother were dead to her, she wouldn't recognize them, even if they standing less than a foot away from her whiskers.
Out of her thoughts, Mint curled her tail around her large paws, letting a breath into the air. She again scanned the area, this time turning her head to the sound of another cat.

A pair of green eyes met Mint's as she turned towards the sound of the approaching. Under the lights of the street lamps she could see that he was bluish gray.
Mint's claws unsheathed. She felt the brown fur along her neck bristle. The other cat seemed locked in place, staring at the Darkness deputy.
"Greetings."
Mint held back a hiss. This cat was defiantly not Darkness, but something about him, the way he spoke perhaps, got to her. The brown tabby took a moment, and staying her same position she spoke back.
"Greetings, to you too."

"I shouldn't be here should I?"
Mint glared at him. She noticed his eyes had narrowed a bit, but he was calm. At first she thought he could be Sunlight, but they would have already attacked her.
The brown tabby moved forward, her eyes still locked with his. Her steps were slow, and she took in his scent. He smelt like loner, but had a slight human scent still clinging to his fur.
A few yards away from the other cat Mint stopped. Her voice was as smooth as silk, but cold, when she spoke.
"No you should not be here, kitty, but do, stay for a while."

"Don't call me that."
Mint smirked. She knew she hit a nerve, she would use it later if she had to.
It took a while for the cat to add another comment, but when he did his voice was still calm. It was beginning to be the thing Mint hated most about the cat. She wanted to hear the fear in his voice, she wanted to hear some sort of feeling, and it was driving her crazy.
"Your name? If you don't mind telling me."
Mint twitched. A slight movement, but being so close to the other cat, she knew he noticed. She waited a moment, getting her act together. Taking in a breath, calming herself. She wanted to reply with another question, maybe use kitty again, but the other cat probably wouldn't waist a second before attacking her.
"Mint. And you are?"

"Ynk."
"Nice to meet you Mint."
The other cat, or Ynk as his name was, sat down in front of Mint. It was a fact that startled her, no one, not even a Darkness follower would do something as rude as sitting down while a deputy was talking to them. Taken aback, Mint bit her tongue.
"So, I'm guessing you're with the group of cats that roam this area, am I right madam Mint?"
The madam Mint part made her mad, but the fact that he seemed to have no idea what her group was called was a blow. She moved closer to the cat, she was smaller than him, but she stood above him while he sat.
"Darkness, the group is called Darkness."

The undisided deputy of Darkness sat. Her dark pelt was brushing against the pavement she lay. Her cold green optics where trained on the two cats. The group's official deputy and a unfamilyer tom cat. She scoffed, why hadn't Mint attacked this nuisance? Sinister made her way out of the shadows and gazed at the deputy. "Why hello, Mint." She meowed with a blank expression. Her long haired fur was rested on her shoulders, yet infuriated with the tabby she.
Without waiting for Mint to reply to her greeting she asked, "Is he a sunlight?" She asked, now in a cold whisper. Her grassy gaze was burning into Mint, with slight caution, she was the deputy. Though Sinister was he undisided other deputy, she had to show Mint some respect.. For now.
"Well?" She grunted, ever so stubborn. She gazed at he blue -grey tom and hissed a chilling comment for him to hault. She gazed at him and waited for one of the cats to answer.

Taken aback from his calm tone she stopes her wretched hissing. She then added, now calm. "are you a sunlight follower?" Her audits where forward and her expression was now a soothing calmness. She breathed a sigh as she relized he wasn't, more like.. A house cat. She twisted her nose up at the smell. She normally wasn't so kind, but the cat seemed different, calm. She shrugged and waited for a response.
